OUR COACHES

Chris Brine (Christopher Brine)

Chris has spent over 20 years in the fitness industry, and it really shows in everything he does. From competing at a high level to coaching others, his journey has been built on consistency, discipline, and a genuine passion for fitness.

Over the years, he’s picked up some serious achievements, including being a National NABBA Athletic Champion, a Regional Overall Bodybuilding Champion, and a WFF SuperBody NZ Champion. He’s also a six-time GPC NZ Powerlifting Record Holder, which speaks volumes about his strength and commitment to the sport.

But Chris isn’t just about competing. He plays a big role behind the scenes too, as a GPC Certified National-Level Referee, Taranaki Area Representative, and Regional NP3 Competition Events Organizer.

He’s also represented New Zealand on the world stage as a bodybuilder, earning respect not just for his performance but also for the knowledge and experience he brings to others.

As a nutritionist and RTPD Coach of the Year, Chris is known for keeping things practical & results-focused. He works closely with his clients, creating training & nutrition plans that actually fit their lifestyles, whether they’re just starting or pushing for their next big goal.

Amber Brine

Amber Brine is an international bodybuilding and powerlifting coach and athlete, mentor to coaches, behaviour change specialist, posing expert, and co-founder of Brine Fitness. With more than 23 years immersed in the health and fitness industry, Amber has built a reputation for helping women achieve extraordinary results both physically and mentally.

A Pro Universe Champion - making history as the first kiwi women to win this prestigious title. Amber has also won Ms New Zealand Figure and 2 x Pan Pacific Pro Champion.  She has competed at the highest levels of both bodybuilding and powerlifting. Her achievements include setting 65 New Zealand powerlifting records, holding a world-record squat, and winning numerous national powerlifting titles.
 

As a coach, Amber has guided more than 200 body transformation clients and over 150 bodybuilding athletes across divisions including Figure, Bikini, Wellness, Sport Model, Glamour, Swimsuit and Women's Physique. Her athletes have competed successfully in federations including IFBB, WFF, INBA, ICN, NABBA and others, earning 100's of competition victories, national and international titles, overall championships, professional status, and 42 New Zealand powerlifting records. She has coached women on national and international stages from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, France, and across Europe.
 

Beyond her competitive achievements, Amber is passionate about long-term behaviour change and helping women become the person capable of sustaining their success. She is co-creator of the Sabotage to Champion Mentality Program, a coaching framework designed to help athletes overcome self-sabotage, strengthen identity, and develop the mindset required for lasting transformation.
 

Amber's expertise extends across training, nutrition, posing, athlete development, and coaching education. As a mentor to coaches and award-winning posing coach, she combines technical knowledge with practical experience to develop athletes at every level, from first-time competitors through to elite performers. Some of the strongest athletes she has coached have achieved lifts of 162.5kg squat, 100kg bench press, and 180kg deadlift.
 

Holding a Bachelor of Applied Visual Imaging, Amber also brings a unique perspective to bodybuilding presentation, stage presence, creativity, and posing. Combined with over 20 years of modelling, performance, and presentation experience, she helps athletes maximise not only their physiques but also how they present themselves on stage.

Away from coaching and competition, Amber is a wife, mother of 2 daughters, and lifelong student of human behaviour. She has a deep interest in philosophy, communication, articulation, leadership, and the psychology of long-term change.

 

Her coaching philosophy is simple: build strong bodies, strong minds, and strong identities capable of sustaining success for life.

Whether the goal is bodybuilding, powerlifting, fat loss, transformation, or personal growth, Amber's mission is to help women stop playing small, realise their potential, and become the strongest version of themselves.

About Amber

Sarah Good

Sarah Good is a Brine Fitness-accredited coach, transformation and weight loss expert, bodybuilder, powerlifting athlete, and posing coach who brings far more than qualifications to her work.

After a life-altering accident in 2008 left her widowed and raising two young children, she turned to fitness as a lifeline, losing over 50kg in two years while overcoming clinical depression and rebuilding her life from the ground up. With over a decade of experience in the gym space, she has trained clients across multiple gyms, earned recognition as an NP3 Deadlift Only Champion (2023) and WFF Novice Figure Champion RTPD (2024), and developed a deep understanding of what it truly takes to transform oneself both physically and mentally.

Alongside her Level 4 Personal Training and Level 3 Fitness Consultancy qualifications, and certifications in bodybuilding coaching, Pilates, and functional training, Sarah specializes in guiding women through sustainable, real-world fitness journeys.

Her coaching blends training, nutrition, and mindset, driven by empathy, resilience, and the belief that anything is possible.

Kody Lancaster

Kody is a Brine Fitness accredited coach who has worked closely with the team for over 1.5 years through coaching, bodybuilding, personal development, and completing the Brine Fitness Mentorship.

Through consistency, discipline, and standards, Kody has completely rebuilt himself both physically and mentally. His journey comes from real life experience, having battled addiction, mental health struggles, and weighing over 140kg before transforming his life through fitness.

In his very first bodybuilding season, Kody stepped on stage and won his bodybuilding division, Overall Bodybuilder, and Best Routine, earning respect through the work and commitment behind his journey.


What makes Kody valuable as a coach is not just the transformation itself, but his ability to relate to people who are struggling, lacking confidence, feeling stuck, or trying to rebuild themselves from the ground up.

His coaching focuses on real world transformation, lifestyle and mindset coaching, bodybuilding and contest preparation, accountability, structure, and helping people improve their lives through genuine support and guidance.

After putting in the work behind the scenes for a long time, Kody is now helping more people through Brine Fitness.

About Kody

Charlotte Bradley

Charlotte Bradley is a Brine Fitness-accredited coach, coach development intern, administration manager, and passionate advocate for sustainable health and fitness.
 

After completing her Diploma in Personal Training and successfully graduating from the Brine Fitness Coaching Mentorship Program, Charlotte was selected to join the Brine Fitness Coach Development Internship. Working closely alongside Amber and Chris Brine, she continues to develop her coaching expertise while gaining hands-on experience in athlete support, community management, coaching systems, and business operations.
 

Charlotte also has a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and known for her exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, and genuine care for others, Charlotte brings a practical, supportive, and evidence-based approach to coaching. She believes that lasting results are built through consistency, education, and realistic habits rather than quick fixes or perfection.
 

Charlotte is passionate about helping women improve their health, build confidence, and create a lifestyle that supports their long-term goals. Her coaching focuses on sustainable progress, empowering clients to develop healthier habits, strengthen their mindset, and achieve results that fit within the demands of everyday life. Charlotte is also a mother of 3, based in Hawera, Taranaki and she is committed to helping every person she works with become stronger, healthier, and more confident.
 

Within the Brine Fitness community, Charlotte has quickly become a highly valued team member, recognised for her enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile to support others.
